Map the organisations active in a named area using only what they have filed publicly: company registers, securities filings, grant awards, trademark and patent records, procurement notices. Every entry cites the filing it came from.

steps:
1. Fix the area as codes and terms first, and record them. Everything downstream depends on this and the person must be able to change it.
2. Query each public register for the window. Keep the raw hit list with source and date.
3. For each organisation, keep only what a filing literally shows: a registered activity, a granted right, an awarded contract, a disclosed segment. No inference from a website.
4. Merge name variants and subsidiaries, and keep a list of every merge.
5. Write the limits note: unfiled activity is invisible, filings lag, and presence in a register is not market share.
6. Send the table with the raw hits attached.
